We've had a makeover!

On July 2007 AddictedToPlastic.com turned 2 years old so like any old dame we decided to have some 'work' done and voila look at us now!
Big thanks to the one and only Stephen (aka Modernism Design) for the sparkling new 'Blythe Box' design the site now has and all the groovy new features like links to the Gallery, Podcasts, Commission Salon and Shop; even this News/Blog section has had a face lift!
We hope you enjoy everything and will bookmark us as one of your favourite places.

Spreading The Plastic Love

Happy New Year!!!
I can't believe it is 2007 already. This year has begun well. Over the Christmas break I took a couple of weeks off work and managed to finish 2 custom blythes and make some decent progress on a reroot I've been doing on and off.
I also fell in love with 2 other types of dolls: Dal & Lati (but don't worry the house is still bursting with Blythes! lol). So far I've managed to accumulate 4 new Dals and a Lati yellow which isn't bad considering we are still in January lol! This is a pic of my new baby 'Orion' (the yellow Lati) or 'Boo' to her friends :)
There are whispers here at ATP of opening the borders and letting in all kinds of little plastic people so stay tuned re that one. Part of the reason for naming ourselves Addicted To Plastic as opposed to just Blythe was that I suspected I might do something like this eventually and want to diversify the 'family'.
Along the same lines the ATP podcast (which went on a sabbatical over the holidays) has also enlarged itself to include other forms of cuteness as well as still focusing on Blythe.
This year I am going to try to learn to appreciate these other dolls and cute things like Flickr, Moo Cards, Qoop books etc, the possibilities are endless. My new saying for the year is "A thing of beauty is a joy forever". I hope your life is filled with beauty all year long!
